I wanted to reach out to any new people who might think this section of the forum is dead.

There are plenty of SO's in the journal section and if you post in this forum someone will respond. You aren't on your own.

This board saved my life when I first found out my h was using p. It feels really weird typing that now.

I was able to find people who felt exactly as I felt. Several of them have proved real good friends and we support each other through this whether still with our h's or parted.

I want to just second what Honeysuckle said. We partners are still here even tho many of us journal now. We need to check this thread more often, and I promise to remember. Like Honeysuckle, the partners' forum saved me when I first came here, especially my sanity. I hope to be here more for newcomers....

I'm feeling excited for the first snow, which is supposed to start in 2 hours. It makes me feel more "Christmassy." May you all get some kind of boost in your lives, new to the truth I know it's real hard. I promise prayers for all new discoverers of infidelity

Honeysuckle, so hope you are well xoxo

Hi all. Well, I'm feeling stressed with Christmas coming, as always. You can never please everyone, and I definitely know I put myself on the back-burner during the holidays, trying to do so much for everyone else. This is possibly why I have been sick during the holidays for the past 3 years. But I am on the meds to treat my sinus infection, so I should be all good when Christmas hits. My husband went to therapy alone tonight, he is there right now.

I've had some loss recently. My 13 year old chihuahua died. I got her as a puppy when I was 21. She was my baby, she was there before my husband. We went through a lot of growing up together. She was sick with a heart problem, I knew she would pass at some point. I found her in the morning lying outside of her bed. I know I took good care or her and she was a happy dog. Everyone loved her and tells me she was not the normal chihuahua and she will be missed.

My daughter is almost 3. For some reason, she tells me "be happy." or "are you happy?" Usually after I scold her for something. But I wonder if its an underlying feeling she has already. I think I'm happy. Everyone gets stressed, how do they hide it from their children? Do I need my daughter and husband to be happy in order for me to be happy? Are you supposed to be happy on your own if your family isn't? Just questions that I ask myself sometimes.

Christmas is coming. I want to be grateful for my family. I pray that you are all healthy and have a great holiday.

Hi Luna,

First of all, I'm very sorry about losing your dog. These things just hurt, even when we are prepared. I lost an 18 year cat in Sept. They are like family, and it can just throw us off. I get these things and just know how sorry I am for your loss.

I have had some whoppers of sinus infections and know they really suck. Luckily they are not a chronic thing with me. Hopefully your medication will work well for you and completely get rid of it. You deserve to feel good at Christmas time!

As for happy, personally I decided long ago to work real hard at that. Kind of went along with realizing I can't make anyone happy, no one can make me happy so I need to do that for myself. Kind of a hard one to explain but at least I understand it, LOL. No, you can't please everyone but I get the idea you do your level best to help others be happy. Be nice to you too, ok?
I like the idea that you are questioning yourself and things. Always healthy. Your daughter sounds adorable :)
Happy Christmas to you, and all you love!
